Following last year's Pottstown Brew Fest, organizers are back at it again, this time with cask-conditioned ales in mind courtesy of the Pottstown Firkin Fest.

Scheduled to take place Saturday, April 30 beginning at 1 p.m. in Pottstown's Manatawny Park, the event will feature food, live music, and rare brews. Tickets run $75, and are on sale now.

Compared to the Brew Fest, however, tickets will be somewhat limited, with just 500 being released. The idea is to provide "VIP-level amenities" to a smaller group, rather than basic amenities for a large, 2,000-person general admission crowd, like with the Pottstown Brew Fest.

Confirmed breweries for the evening so far include 2SP, Saint Benjamin's Brewing, SlyFox, Yards, and many more. Beer makers will bring more than 40 firkins to provide the crowd with "true ale," which generally hasn't been pasteurized and has lower carbonation levels due to its cask-conditioned nature.

Vendors, meanwhile, include Lily's Grill, Conebella Farm Cheese, D's Nuts, Lawless Jerky, and others.
