The Kentucky Derby is fast approaching, and at Philadelphia's own New Liberty Distillery, they'll be celebrating with an evening of mint juleps to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Set to take place on Saturday, May 7 beginning at 3:00 p.m., the event will feature whiskeys, spirits, and cocktails from the Philadelphia-based New Liberty, including their award-winning Kinsey whiskey. Mint juleps on draft will also be available.

Tickets for the event run about $75 each, and are available online now. Proceeds from the evening will go toward benefitting the JDRF, which hopes to help children diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.

New Liberty Distillery first opened up last July in Kensington offering tours and tastings. Earlier this year, Craig LaBan named the distillery on his list of Fishtown and Kensington favorites.
