The Doylestown Inn's Hattery Stove & Still will host a "pay what you want" fundraising event for the Autism Cares Foundation this month, offering up burgers for the organization's benefit.

Scheduled for Wednesday, April 27 at 5 p.m., the "burger benefit" will feature a lineup of four different burgers from Chef Billy Gilbo, all available at a price you get to pick. The menu is as follows:

  1. House Blend — Black Angus blend of sirloin and chuck

  2. Pierre — Boursin cheese and caramelized onions

  3. Main St. — Gruyere and bacon, topped with a fried egg

  4. Kennett Square — Mixed mushrooms and gorgonzola

Usually priced at $14, each burger also includes an order of fries.

Based out of Southampton, the Autism Cares Foundation provides programs to benefit area children, teens, and adults who have autism, as well as their families. The cause is close to the heart of Hattery General Manager Alex Nelinson, whose 22-year-old brother Dean has autism.

Dean, for his part, will be bartending the night of the benefit.

"Ever since he was little, Dean has wanted to be a bartender, so when this opportunity to pitch in at the Hattery and raise awareness and funds for autism came up, he lit up," Nelinson said via a release. "This will be an event we'll treasure forever."
