Next month, chef Yehuda Sichel and the folks at Abe Fisher will add a little Korean barbecue flare to their classic Jewish soul food focus with a four-course short-rib feast, courtesy of Manhattan Chef Deuki Hong.

Hong, who owns Manhattan's Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong, will soon release a new cookbook, Koreatown: A Cookbook, which Abe Fisher will help promote with its event. The book itself was written alongside Food Republic's Matt Rodbard, who once called Abe Fisher's Montreal-style short ribs "smoked meat Nirvana."

It's all happening Tuesday, March 1, when the two chefs join forces for a four-course short-rib extravaganza. Tickets run $150 per couple, and include a copy of Hong's Koreatown: A Cookbook.

Two seatings — one at 5:30 p.m. and one at 8:30 p.m. — will be held that evening. The menu is as follows:

  1. Chef Yehuda's Chicken Liver Mousse and Pickled Mackerel

  2. Chef Deuki Hong's Kimchi-Bacon Fried Rice with Gochujang Butter;

  3. Chef Deuki's Korean-Style Short Ribs with "Walk-in-Kimchi" and

  4. A collaborative dessert of Raisin Bread Pudding with Toasted Rice Ice Cream

Tickets are currently available online.
