15 eateries join Somers Point Restaurant Week

They'll offer prix fixe menu pricing - $12.07 for a two-course lunch, $25.07 for a three-course dinner. The event will benefit the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and Atlantic Cape Community College culinary scholarships.

Fifteen Somers Point restaurants will participate in the shore town's seventh annual restaurant week, which will play out over 10 days from Friday, Nov. 4 through Sunday, Nov. 13.

They'll offer prix fixe menu pricing - $12.07 for a two-course lunch, $25.07 for a three-course dinner. The event will benefit the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and Atlantic Cape Community College culinary scholarships.

At the kick-off event - Sunday, Oct. 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Clancy's on the Bay (101 E. Maryland Ave.) - participating restaurants will give out samples, and whiskey, wine, and beer-tastings by Tuckahoe Brewing Company also will be available. Admission is $15 a person, or $25 for a couple.

Kimberly "Kimmie Kocktail" Shurig of SNJ Today 1240 AM/99.9 FM's 2 Chicks and a Chef will emcee, with wine guy Vincent Sacco offering seasonal wine tips.

ACCC Culinary Department chefs and culinary students will do food demos. Chef Mike D'Angelo will do a sugar scupture while chef Vincent Tedeschi will carve ice.

As for the "07" in the prices. It's not that this is the seventh year. Organizers realized that the #507 New Jersey Transit bus into Somers Point was a major mode of transportation for restaurant employees .

$12.07 two-course fixed price lunch menu restaurant are:
Charlie's Bar & Restaurant, Clancy's By The Bay, Doc's Place, Fitzpatrick's Deli & Steakhouse, Greate Bay Country Club (open to the public during RW), Gregory's Restaurant & Bar, Micchelli's Pizza, Sal's Cafe, Buon Appetito, and The Windjammer.

$25.07 three-course prix-fixe dinner menu restaurants:
Anchorage Tavern, Buona Vita (November 4, 5, 6, 10 ,11, 12, 13), Bon Appetito, Charlie's Bar & Restaurant, Clancy's By The Bay, The Crab Trap, Doc's Place, El Tipico Mexican Taqueria, Fitzpatrick's Deli & Steakhouse, Greate Bay Country Club (open to the public for RW for Lunch Daily with Dinners only on Nov. 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13), Gregory's Restaurant & Bar, Sal's Café and Coal Fired Pizza, and The Windjammer.
