Young and green: Monday night

Although the Academy of Natural Sciences is getting a lot of ancient-dinosaur-based attention these days, tonight offers an opportunity to turn 180 degrees and engage with young people who are leaving "dinosaurs" behind and looking to the future. Young Involved Philadelphia is hosting a forum from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. this evening that will "offer sustainable solutions for everyday life."

Although the Academy of Natural Sciences is getting a lot of ancient-dinosaur-based attention these days, tonight offers an opportunity to turn 180 degrees and engage with young people who are leaving "dinosaurs" behind and looking to the future.

Young Involved Philadelphia is hosting a forum from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. this evening  that will "offer sustainable solutions for everyday life." The press release throws out some provocative questions - Is that twisty-looking light bulb really that much better? Is leasing solar panels the answer? Is "going green" something you even understand, and do you have to sacrifice hot showers to achieve it? - but the most provocative ideas may come from you.

Take this opportunity to get your questions answered and share your own ideas about living sustainably. Tonight the Academy will be the place to be for everybody from 8 to 80... to 80 million.

Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Location: Main Auditorium, Academy of Natural
