A Belated Thanks to All Who Applied

As one of the commenters at an earlier posting has pointed out, we've been remiss. The person wrote, "A colleague of mine sent in my information but we never heard anything back from you. Not even a thanks but no thanks."

I'm sooorry. We've been so busy congratulating this new group of Sexy Singles that we haven't thanked all the folks who nominated their friends, relatives, co-workers or even themselves to be a part of this feature. We had roughly 500 submissions this year. Many of those who weren't selected could easily have been a part of this roundup. But we could only pick 30.  And let me tell you, it wasn't easy.

I'm hoping folks who're serious about being spotlighted will send their photos in again for next summer. Send us as many photos as you like. We can't return them, but we'll take a look.

As for the person who wondered if age had anything to do with who got chosen this year, I can guarantee you that it doesn't. I'm a firm believer that age ain't nothin' but a number as the saying goes. Just read the Daily News tomorrow and you'll see that one of the final Sexy Singles we're introducing you to is 48 - and she's fabulous, too!
