Blood-filled syringe-wielding robber on the loose in Kensington

A particularly vile kind of armed robber is on the loose in Kensington after police say a man stuck up a woman in a Chinese restaurant with ... wait for it ... a blood-filled syringe.

A particularly vile kind of armed robber is on the loose in Kensington after police say a man stuck up a woman in a Chinese restaurant with ... wait for it ... a blood-filled syringe.

The sickening crime went down inside Eddie's Chinese Restaurant on Allegheny Avenue near A Street about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, according to police. The 32-year-old woman told cops she went into the restaurant after work and was waiting for her food when the robber, who was already inside when she got there, walked up to her with the bloody syringe and told her in Spanish, "I have AIDS. Give me your money."

Understandably, the woman threw the $200 cash she had on her at the needle-wielding weirdo, according to police. The man took off and ran in an unknown direction. The woman he stuck up was not injured, police said.

Cops described the robber as a Hispanic man about 30 to 35 years old, 5 feet 10, with a dark complexion. He wore a blue hooded sweatshirt and Adidas track pants at the time of the robbery.
