A 24-year-old woman was in critical condition Sunday night and two men were hospitalized with gunshot wounds after they were shot during what police say may have been a domestic dispute in Cobbs Creek.

Cops said gunfire erupted outside on Irving Street near 61st just before 9 p.m. The woman, struck in the face by gunfire, was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania by police. She was listed in critical condition.

A 19-year-old man was also shot several times in both of his shoulders. He was dropped off at HUP in a private auto that fled the area before police arrived, according to investigators. That man was also listed in critical condition and was being held as a prisoner Sunday night as police investigated the possibility that he may have initiated the shooting.

A 25-year-old man was also hit in the forearm, cops said. He was taken to HUP and listed in stable condition.

One witness was taken to speak with investigators, police said.

I'm sure I heard those shots. What's most tragic is that the sound of gunshots around here doesn't even turn heads anymore. It happens daily, or so it seems.

You bet the DA is right now in a meeting with his assistants looking for a way to explain away these crimes and why they are doing nothing about them.

Hoodie rallies? Calls of "assassinations"? Nah, of course not. If this were whites shooting blacks, there would be protests in the streets.

"Stop & Frisk" was an assault on your civil rights, resulting in loud protest and threats of lawsuits. Now we have shootings galore and deafening silence from communities under siege. If it were my neighborhood I would be demanding the police to stop, frisk, and make these criminals think twice about carrying a gun. I would be demanding city council to address this violence. Ambivilent Genocide !

The calculation is that gratitude votes from relatives of criminals are worth a few dead bodies.
