Two men, teen shot in Kensington, police investigating

Police are investigating a triple shooting that left two men and a teen wounded in Kensington Monday night.

Updated, 9:43 p.m.: Police are investigating a triple shooting that left two men and a teen wounded in Kensington Monday night.

Police received several 9-1-1 calls shortly before 8:30 p.m. for a person shot on Hart Lane near the intersections of D and Cambria streets. When they arrived, they found a 26-year-old man shot in the head and a 21-year-old man shot in the right calf, Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

Both men were taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition, Small said. Police believe the man shot in the head may have been hit by a ricocheting bullet.

Around 9:30 p.m., a third victim from the same shooting, a 17-year-old boy, was reported at Episcopal Hospital, Small said. The teen was wounded in the calf and listed in stable condition. Family members drove him to the hospital after the shooting.

Small said that so far, police have no motive or suspects in the shooting. A camera outside a grocery store at the corner captured the aftermath of the shooting. Investigators were reviewing the video Monday night.

Police found seven spent shell casings from a semiautomatic handgun on the block, Small said.
