Suspects in $40K Marshalls heist remain at large

Cops are looking for two suspects who robbed a South Philly Marshall's at gunpoint in December.

The two men who police say robbed a South Philadelphia Marshalls at gunpoint days before Christmas remain at large, and cops are seeking the public's help to track them down.

Just before 5 a.m. Dec. 19, two men approached an employee of the store, located at McKean and Swanson streets, while he was taking out the trash, police said. The men then allegedly forced that employee and others to the floor in the store at gunpoint and demanded that they open the safe.

Cops said the men took between $35,000 and $40,000 in cash, and then locked employees in a break room while they fled. Check out the surveillance video of the robbery below, released by cops on Monday -- both suspects had their faces and heads covered, but investigators are hoping someone might recognize their clothes.

Police described the suspects as black men with light complexions, both about 6 feet tall with medium builds. Both wore dark blue hooded sweatshirts, blue jeans and black gloves and had their faces covered at the time of the incident.

Tipsters should dial 911, contact police at 215-686-8477 or 215-686-3013 or submit a tip online.
