Shooting victim drives himself, bystander to hospital

Police said a man with a bullet wound in his left leg drove himself and a bystander to the hospital after a shooting in Kensington Wednesday night.

A 36-year-old man was walking up to a house when an unknown man opened fire, wounding him in the left leg, police said.

A 35-year-old woman inside the house suffered a graze wound to the right side of her chest.

The man drove himself and the woman to Aria-Frankford Hospital, where police spokeswoman Tanya Little said they both were listed in stable condition as of 9:45 p.m.

Information on the shooter's motive and a description of the suspect was not immediately available.

No arrests were made.
