Police want help ID'ing armed robber of Bensalem gas station

Police are seeking the armed robber who held up a Bensalem gas station Saturday night.

Do you know this guy?

Police say he robbed the Sunoco station at Street and Richlieu roads in Bensalem Saturday night, and they want the public to help identify him.

The robber approached the gas station clerk about 11 p.m. Saturday, asked him for a cigar and placed a dollar bill on the counter, police said. He then pulled a black semi-automatic handgun from a bag, demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a blue compact sedan.

He's described as a Hispanic or light-skinned black male, about 5-foot-8, 200 pounds, with what appears to be multiple tattoos on his left forearm and wrist. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a large gold $ sign on the front, a black-brimmed hat with a green camouflage top, and white or tan sneakers with pink laces.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Bensalem Detective Keith Christie at (215) 633-3671 or Sgt. William McVey at (215) 633-3758.
