Police seeking two men in Mayfair armed robbery
Police are searching for two men who are wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Mayfair early Thursday morning.
After the victim returned to his car from a 7-Eleven Store on Cottman Avenue near Brous around 2:40 a.m., the suspect approached him, put a knife to his neck and demanded his belongings.
The knife-wielding suspect is described as a clean shaven white man in his mid-20s who was about 5’10 and weighed about 160 pounds. He was wearing a grey T-shirt with “Moores Inlet” on the front, grey sneakers, jeans and a black baseball cap, police said.
His accomplice is described as a white man in his mid-20s who is also about 160 pounds and is about 5’10. The man has dark hair and has a light beard. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans, a white belt and blue sneakers, police said.
The suspects fled in a red or burgundy car with a Pennsylvania license plate that read “HSS-7257,” police said.
Tipsters are asked to call 215-686-TIPS (8477).
