Police searching for suspect in double shooting

Police are hoping surveillance footage and help from the public lead them to the suspect in a late-September shooting in West Philadelphia.

On Sept. 20, two men were leaving the Great Taste Chinese Restaurant when they were approached from behind by a man who fired at both of them and ran off, police said.

Surveillance footage recorded the suspect inside the restaurant minutes before the shooting. Police described the shooter as a black man, about 5 feet 7. He was wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a brown shirt with "93" on the front and a blue hat with the letter P on the front.

Tipsters are asked to call 215-686-TIPS.
