Police questioning three in fatal stabbing in Kensington

A 31-year-old man died this morning at Temple University Hospital after police say he was stabbed several times on a street in Kensington.

The man, whom police have not yet identified pending notification of next of kin, was on G Street near Allegheny Avenue shortly after 3 a.m. when he was attacked. Police found him lying on the ground bleeding from several wounds when they were called to the block for a report of a person with a gun, according to a police spokeswoman.

He was taken to Temple Hospital, where he died at 3:32 a.m.

Three men are being questioned in connection with the fatal stabbing, but no official charges have been filed, police said.
