POSTED: Wednesday, June 6, 2012, 6:57 PM

A man whose girlfriend found him dead in his kitchen covered in blood Monday morning was stabbed to death, police said Wednesday.

Angel Vega-Nunez, who would have turned 58 on Tuesday, was stabbed multiple times and died in his Kensington apartment on Dauphin Street just east of Front, police said. His 32-year-old girlfriend found him lying on the kitchen floor of the apartment and alerted police.

Investigators are still trying to determine what motivated Vega-Nunez’s murder and figure out who killed the man.
