Police have identified the young woman and man gunned down early Tuesday in Northeast Philadelphia as Lauren Fenningham, 18, of Mayfair, and Sean Neal, 23, of Northeast Philly.

The pair were shot in the living room of Neal's home on Sebring Road near Shelly just after 1:30 a.m., said Officer Christine O'Brien, a police spokeswoman.

Fenningham of Princeton Avenue near Frankford, was shot once in the head and died at the scene, while Neal was shot once in the abdomen, O'Brien said. Doctors at Aria Hospital's Torresdale campus declared Neal dead at 5:18 p.m. last night.

Police reported no motive. Court records show Neal had an extensive criminal record; he was awaiting a Sept. 17 trial on charges of assault, gun violations and other offenses at the time of his death.
