A person has been struck by a SEPTA train on the Norristown High Speed Line in Havertown, officials said.

The accident happened at Penfield Station around 3:30 p.m. A SEPTA spokesperson said the accident happened on the outbound side, but did not have further details.

SEPTA said shuttle buses are operating in place of service between 69th Street and Wynnewood Road as police investigate.

The accident is the second in as many days on SEPTA's tracks. A woman was struck by a train last night near the Fort Washington station on the Lansdale/Doylestown Line. The woman was removed from under the train, but SEPTA did not have information on her condition.
