Parked cars vandalized in N.E. Philadelphia

Four parked cars were vandalized in the Somerton section of Northeast Philadelphia early Monday morning, and police said the culprit caused about $850 in damage.

The cars were parked at a bar on Philmont Street near Byberry Road when a vandal slashed the tires, police said. The crime was reported to police around 2 a.m., but it was unclear exactly when the incident occurred.

A description of the suspect was not available Monday evening.
