Man shot in Frankford, in critical condition

A 43-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in his chest in Frankford Friday night.

Police said the man was walking along Charles Street near Bridge when the occupant of a green Ford Explorer fired at him, wounding him once in his chest.

He was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital, where Chief Inspector Scott Small said he was listed in critical condition as of 9 p.m.

A witness was taken to speak with police in the Northeast Detective Division, and Small said the shooter's vehicle was last seen traveling northbound from Charles Street.

No arrests were made.
