Man shot dead in Olney

Police were investigating a shooting that left a man dead inside a house in Olney early Thursday morning.

Cops were called to American Street and Duncannon Avenue for the report of a shooting around 12:30 a.m. and found the victim, a man in his 30s, inside a house on the block suffering from a gunshot wound to his face and a gunshot wound to his chest, investigators said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:32 a.m.

Police said the man was shot outside on the corner and stumbled into his friend's house, where he collapsed and died in the second-floor hallway.

The fatal shooting remained under investigation around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, and no arrests had been made.
