Man shot in Germantown, hospitalized

A 23-year-old man was shot and critically wounded in Germantown Monday night.

Around 5:15 p.m., the man was shot once in the upper left side of his back on Pomona Street near Cherokee, Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

A dark four-door vehicle with tinted windows pulled up to a crowd on Pomona Street, and a man opened fire, police said.

The victim was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical condition, and police were unsure of the shooter's motive.

A witness was taken to speak with police in the Northwest Detective Division.

No arrests were made.
