Man nabbed in W. Philly slaying

Police have arrested a suspect in a weekend shooting that claimed a man's life in West Philadelphia.

Zarik Prince, 32, has been charged with murder, gun violations and related offenses in the slaying, which took place early Friday morning, police said.

The victim, a 42-year-old man whose identity has not been released, was shot multiple times inside a parked car on Ludlow Street near 55th, police said. Investigators believe the shooter was sitting inside the vehicle with the victim during the incident.

Police took the victim to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he later died.

Court records show Prince was found guilty of carrying a gun without a license in 2007 and again in 2013.
