A prisoner receiving treatment at Jefferson University Hospital assaulted police officers, disrobed and fled authorities naked before being Tasered in the hospital's hallway this morning, according to police.

Dwayne Walker, 38, was admitted to Jefferson on Saturday following a stabbing on Erie Avenue near 17th Street in the city's Tioga section. According to police, Walker allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old boy in the face, hand and shoulder, though the motive for that stabbing is unclear.

What's also unclear from information provided by police is why or how Walker received lacerations to his own hand during the altercation. The injuries Walker received or inflicted upon himself were so severe that he required an operation, which is why he was at Jefferson under police guard, according to authorities.

Around 12:30 a.m. today, while cops were removing Walker's handcuffs in preparation for medical testing, Walker allegedly told the officers "I'm not going back to jail" and tried to grab one of the cop's guns. When the attempt failed, Walker struggled with the officers before running out of the room and shedding all of his clothing as he fled, police said.

Even when he was finally cornered by police, Walker refused to cooperate and had to be Tasered in ordered to be subdued, police said.

Two officers who were assaulted by Walker were taken to Temple University Hospital where they were treated and released for head injuries, police said.

Walker is charged in today's incident with disarming a law enforcement officer, escape and resisting arrest. He was also charged in Saturday's incident with aggravated assault, simple assault and related offenses.
