Police are seeking suspects in two unrelated homicides.

In the more recent case, someone gunned down a 28-year-old man just before 2 a.m. this morning, as he sat in the driver's seat of a black Nissan Altima on Ross Street near Upsal in East Mount Airy. The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of family, was shot in the neck and died at the scene.

And on Monday, someone shot Khaalid Boyd, 19, of Fillmore Street near Mulberry in East Frankford, in the chest, back and arm about 3:30 p.m. a few blocks away on Ditman Street near Pratt. Boyd died from his injuries at Temple University Hospital nearly two hours later, police said.

Police reported no suspects or motive in either case. Tipsters are asked to call homicide detectives at (215) 686-3334 or -3335.
