Man hospitalized in drive-by shooting
The incident was the city’s fourth shooting within about five hours.

A 20-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting in Mantua Tuesday night and was hospitalized in stable condition, police said.
The victim was talking to three women in a parked car on Union Street near Haverford Avenue around 8:40 p.m. when an occupant of a passing Mercury Grand Am fired shots at him, police said.
Lt. John Walker, of the Southwest Detective Division, said a 4-year-old girl was also inside the car that the victim was standing next to when shots rang out.
The man was wounded in his buttocks, police said. The women put the victim in the car and took him to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. They were being interviewed by officials in the Southwest Detective Division Tuesday night.
Information on the year and color of the car that the suspect fled the scene in was not immediately available.

Around 4:10 p.m. a man was critically wounded in a shooting in Point Breeze. Around the same time, a 31-year-old woman was killed and her 5-year-old daughter suffered a graze wound to the back of her head in Eastwick. Police were still on the scene of the double shooting homicide around 7 p.m. when a 28-year-old man was shot and critically wounded on Walton Street near 62nd.
