Cops say man attacks ex-girlfriend, son

Even after being stabbed six times in the back by his ex-girlfriend Sunday night in Southwest Philadelphia, Anthony June’s rage couldn’t be stopped, police said yesterday.

Even after being stabbed six times in the back by his ex-girlfriend Sunday night in Southwest Philadelphia, Anthony June's rage couldn't be stopped, police said yesterday.
A bloodied June picked up a nearby trash can and attempted to smash a front window at his ex's home, moments after she had forced him out, police officials said.
The incident started about 10 p.m., when June, 26, of Upper Darby, shoved his way into his ex's home on Holbrook Street near Elmwood Avenue, investigators said.
Once inside, June started slugging the woman in front of their 14-year-old son, said Lt. John Walker of Southwest Detectives.
The youngster tried to intervene and protect his mother. An angry June punched his son, then leaned on his chest and started choking him, Walker said.
The teen's face turned red, his eyes watered and he appeared to go motionless. His mother made a few futile attempts to stop June, so she picked up a knife and stabbed him a half-dozen times in the back, Walker said.
The woman and her son managed to push June out of the house onto the front porch, police said.

A next-door neighbor, who was concerned about the screams, then watched as June picked up a trash can and tried to throw it through a front window, police said.
June then tried to enter a next-door neighbor's house, but was denied, Little said.
Police were called to the scene and June was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in stable condition.
June was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, burglarly and related offenses.
