Cops: Thieves stole 6K worth of merchandise from sneaker store

Police are looking for a pair of thieves who stole more than $6,000 worth of merchandise from a sneaker store in Cedarbrook.

Police are looking for a pair of thieves who stole more than $6,000 worth of merchandise from a sneaker store in Cedarbrook.

The theft occurred Oct 2 at Sneaker Villa on Wadsworth Avenue near Cheltenham. According to police and video surveillance, two men entered the store and acted as if they were shopping while a Pontiac sedan waited in front of the store. The suspects collected several items, including brown Levi's jackets and gray Nike hooded sweatshirts, and piled them on one rack. They then grabbed the pile of clothing, bolted from the store and hopped into the waiting car. Police said the merchandise is valued at $6,080.

One suspect is described as a black male, 20 years old, stocky build, wearing a black sleeveless t-shirt, camouflage pants, dark colored sneakers and a dark colored baseball cap with a red brim. The second suspect is described as a black male, 20 years old, medium build, wearing a dark colored t-shirt with a white colored emblem on the front, blue jeans, dark colored baseball cap and dark colored sneakers.

Police said the vehicle is a silver or gray late model Pontiac Grand Prix or Bonneville with possible passenger side front fender damage.
