Charges filed in starvation death of 3-year-old

Carlos Rivera, 30, and Carmen Ramirez, 27, have both been charged with murder, involuntary manslaughter, endangering the welfare of a child and related offenses in connection with the death of their 3-year-old daughter, Nathalyz Rivera, police said Tuesday.

Little Nathalyz was severely disabled and terribly emaciated, weighing only 11 pounds when she died early Monday at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Rivera and Ramirez, of West Oak Lane, are being held without bail.
