The local version that authorities are seeing comes in a small package stamped "Flashback" with red ink. I hesitate to say that, because some opiate addicts will hear that and actually seek out the drug, thinking it might result in a better high.
Here's a better idea. Kick the habit. Now.
Promising new medications and treatments are available, including Vivitrol, which blocks the effects of heroin by binding to opioid receptors in the brain. "We are very concerned about the deadly consequences we are seeing from Fentanyl here in Delaware County," said District Attorney Jack Whelan. "Even minimal use can result in death. When consuming illegal street drugs, you always risk the chance of death from an uncontrolled and unknown substance."
