Cops: Man tried to pass heroin off as Viagra

A man hard up for a hiding place for his drugs stashed his heroin in bags marked "VIAGRA," police said.

A man hard up for a hiding place for his drugs stashed his heroin in bags marked "VIAGRA," police said.

Around 8 p.m. Thursday, Richard Clatterbuck, 22, of Media, was stopped by state police on I-95 North in Tinicum Township for speeding, according to a police report.

When Trooper Rebecca Ladd approached Clatterbuck, she noticed his pupils were dilated and determined he was high on heroin, police said.

Ladd said that upon further investigation, she discovered five bags of heroin in the passenger's side door of Clatterbuck's vehicle that were labeled "VIAGRA."

It's not clear why Clatterbuck thought he could pass the deadly powdered drug for the geometric blue pills, but Ladd didn't buy Clatterbuck's limp cover. He could now face stiff sentences after being charged with drug offenses and driving under the influence of intoxicants.
