Another suburban school-bus driver busted for DUI
A former Bensalem Township school bus driver was arrested today for allegedly driving with a blood-alcohol content of .19, a month after a former Delaware County school bus driver pleaded guilty to driving with a BAC of .374, more than four times the legal limit.
Former Bensalem Township school bus driver Kim Townsend was arrested today for crashing her bus, allegedly with a blood-alcohol content of .19, according to Daily News reporter Phillip Lucas.
Townsend's BAC was more than twice the legal limit.
But she was practically sober compared to Wallingford-Swarthmore School District bus driver Christine Rogers, who recently pleaded guilty in Media to driving with a BAC of .374. She had a water bottle full of vodka, police say.
Those are practically background levels of booze compared to Christian M. Sweeney, who pleaded guilty a few months ago to driving with an astronomically high blood-alcohol content of .62 – nearly eight times the legal limit and drunker than Townsend and Rogers combined.
That is ridiculously drunk. I don't know how he found his car, let alone drove it. As a motorcyclist, people like this scare the hell out of me.
And careless texters. They can be lethal.
