Holiday added to USA Basketball Select Team Roster

Sixers point guard Jrue Holiday has been added to the 2012 USA Men's Select Team that will train July 6-11 against the 2012 USA Basketball Men's National Team during training camp in Las Vegas, Nev. Holiday is the 15th player USA Basketball has named to the USA Select squad.

The team will train against the Men's National Team July 6-11.

"In naming Jrue to our Select Team we've added an athletic guard who can get to the rim and someone who is also a good 3-point shooter. Both those skills will be invaluable in helping prepare our National Team for this summer," said Jerry Colangelo, USA Basketball chairman.

Holiday, who was the 17th overall pick in the 2009 draft after playing one collegiate season at UCLA, started all 65 games in 2011-12 and averaged 13.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.6 steals, while shooting 43.2 percent from the field, 38.0 percent from 3-point and 78.3 percent from the foul line.

In the Sixers's 13 playoff games, Holiday averaged 15.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.5 steals, while hitting 40.8 percent of his 3-point tries.
