Brand playing with small fracture in left hand

76ers power forward Elton Brand has been playing with a very minor fracture in his non-shooting hand. We've known for a few weeks that Brand's been battling hand injuries, but this gives you a better indication of the pain through which Brand is playing. If you want the detailed analysis, here's Jonathan Abrams story in advance of the Sixers/New York Knicks game on Wednesday night, complete with quotes from Sixers team president Rod Thorn: Elton Brand. This news changes nothing about Brand's status, he'll be available tonight against the Celtics just as he's played the previous month with this injury.

If you want the latest on Lou Williams' hamstring injury, the signing of Antonio Daniels (officially completed, he'll be available to play tonight against the Boston Celtics), and the opportunity available for rookie Evan Turner, here's the link to our previous post: Turner's Turn.

More tonight after Sixers/Celtics game.
