Carter-Williams likely to play against Raptors

All signs point to Michael Carter-Williams playing in Wednesday night's game against the Toronto Raptors at the Wells Fargo Center.

The 76ers point guard was sidelined the past four games with left foot arch bruise.

"I told coach [Brett Brown] and the trainer that my foot feels  good," he said, "and I'm ready to go."

The rookie practiced with the first unit during Wednesday morning's shootaround. It was the first time that he participated in a full shootaround since suffering the injury on Nov. 11 against the San Antonio Spurs.  He took some shots during Monday's shootaround in Dallas.

"It feels a lot better," Carter-Wlliams said. "When I was on the court in Dallas, it was just a little sore. It probably was because I walking on it or runnng on it. But it feels good now."

It appears that teammate Evan Turners expects the 6-foot-6, 185-pounder to be on the court.

"Glad to have Michael back and come back and compete and take advantage ofour opportunity," swingman Turner said following the shootaround.

Carter-Williams averaged 17.4 points, 7.6 assists and a league third-best 2.6 steals in the first eight games. He was named the Eastern Conference player of the week for the opening week of the season.
