Friday's DN: The Debate On School Taxes Gets Going

Mayor Nutter sends City Council legislation to raise property taxes and/or tax sugar-sweetened beverages in an attempt to raise money to close the Philadelphia School District budget gap.  Nutter favors the beverage tax.

While Nutter may save the day for the school district, he leaves himself wide open for short-term and long-term political attacks.
