Friday's DN: Mayor Nutter at odds with City Commission

The City Commission, which oversees elections in Philadelphia, told Mayor Nutter last week that it will not cooperate with the "fact-finding team" he appointed to examine problems in the Nov. 6 general election.  Also, Cheri Honkala goes on trial for her arrest while she was running for Vice President on the Green Party ticket.  And Brett Mandel "bulldogs" himself on a new web site.

Former state Sen. Vince Fumo, serving federal prison time in Kentucky, is hospitalized after doctors discover one of the arteries to his heard is 90 percent blocked.  Surgery is planned.

Jan Ransom wraps up the action as City Council returns from its winter vacation.

The city's Pension Board on Thursday approved Mayor Nutter's request that it divest from any gun manufacturers and sellers.
