Ethics Board Settles Dispute With Williams In DA Race

The Philadelphia Board of Ethics just put out another media release, announcing that it has entered into a settlement agreement with Seth Williams, a candidate for District Attorney in the Democratic primary election next Tuesday.  The board announced that Williams agreed to pay a $3,750 fine for campaign finance reporting errors.

Williams, the Board said, reported 10 campaign expenditures twice and one expenditure three times, due to "inadequate documentation" of money spent in 2008.  The Board said Williams also misreported expenditures that were listed as reimbursements to his wife, when they should have been listed as reimbursements to them both for his expenses.
