Sources tell PhillyClout that Ed Covington is out as head of the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority.
It's not clear if Mayor Nutter fired Covington or if he voluntarily stepped down. But sources said Covington informed his staff today that it was his last day.
Covington joined the RDA in 2010. He worked previously as a Wachovia Bank executive.
PhillyClout is waiting for comment from the Nutter administration.
