Philadelphia, March 6, 2012 –   In accordance with the new crime fighting measures announced in January, Channel 64, the government access channel, and the Philadelphia Police Department will air slides featuring the photos and vital information for the 100 most wanted persons who have outstanding violent felony warrants.  In an effort to elicit public cooperation in the apprehension of violent criminals, these slides will air on Channel 64 throughout the day and can be accessed on the Philadelphia Police Department website (http://www.phillypolice.com) anytime.

"These slides are an important tool in our attempt to bring violent criminals to justice.  We need the support and involvement of the community to apprehend these individuals and make our streets safer," said Mayor Michael A. Nutter.   "Being a good citizen means not looking the other way and allowing these criminals to walk our streets.  If you see someone featured on these slides, call 911 or report it through one of the tips lines available."
