Radar, the emaciated pitbull left for dead in a Coatesville-area ravine, is making a miraculous recovery, and the Chester County SPCA has set up a fund in response to requests from people who want to help.

The agency has started the "Radar Recovery Fund" for the dog, whose multiple injuries were deemed the result of dogfighting. The fund will ensure that Radar's medical expenses are covered, said Chester County SPCA spokesman Rich Britton. After that, it will be used to provide care for other abandoned, stray or abused animals that end up at the independent nonprofit in West Goshen Township. Anyone interested in contributing can send a check to the agency at 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, 19380 (make sure to write Radar fund on the memo line), or visit www.ccspca.org  .
