Work on Route 202 Parkway, Route 611 to cause delays
Parkway work in Doylestown area will be done during the day; Route 611 repairs will be mostly at night.
Drivers can expect delays in the Doylestown area next week for work on the Route 202 Parkway and concrete repairs to Route 611, PennDot reports.
Installation of electronic message signs, traffic cameras and traffic signal equipment for the Route 202 Parkway may close lanes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at:
• Route 202 between Pebble Hill Road, north of Route 611, and Route 63 (Welsh Road);
• Route 611 between Limekiln Road and Easton Road;
• Upper State Road between Route 202 (Butler Avenue) and Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike);
• Stump Road between Bristol Road and Route 463 (Horsham Road);
• Route 309 between Richardson Road, north of the Five Points intersection, and Route 63.
Pickertown Road remains closed between Upper State and Stump roads in New Britain and Warrington townships for construction of a bridge over the parkway, and New Britain Road in Doylestown Township is closed for reconstruction between Sunset View Drive and Rolling Hill Boulevard.
The 8.4-mile, $200-million, state-funded parkway is scheduled to open in the fall fall, improving travel between Doylestown and Montgomeryville.
On Route 611, traffic will be reduced to one lane between Kellers Church and Spruce Hill roads in Bedminster and Plumstead townships from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday and 8 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday for the sealing of concrete pavement joints and cracks and patching.
