The Phillies had a first-hand look at history Sunday, as the Dodgers' Yusiel Puig completed one of the best debut months in major league baseball history.
Only Joe DiMaggio (46) ever lashed out more hits in his debut calendar month than the 44 Puig compiled through Sunday, but some of Puig's other numbers from his first 30 days were better than those put up by the young Yankee Clipper.
Now ... It will be interesting to see how their second months compare.
