We bet most of you didn't know the staff here at BoopStats are a bunch of closet horse racing fans. We have certainly invested enough in the sport ... $2 at a time.
Long gone are the days half the neighborhood would pile into someone's station wagon for a trip to Liberty Bell Park or Atlantic City Race Track. Rarer still were the days we would return celebrating someone's good fortune. But we always seemed to have fun.
That's what they seemed to have Saturday on PA Derby Day at Parx Racing in Bensalem. We wish we could have been there to lose a some bucks two at a time, but someone had to go to MetLife Stadium to watch two E Street Band Shows ...
So, for those of us that weren't able to see the two feature races from Saturday, check them out here — The Cotillion and The Pennsylvania Derby.
