Toomey Extinguishes Hair Fire

Sen. Pat Toomey (R.,Pa.) - deficit supercommittee member, scalp saver.

At his 50th birthday party in Washington Wednesday, Toomey interrupted his thank you speech to put out a guest's hair fire, according to The Washington Post. The guest, Michael Brody, a political consultant from Pittsburgh, stood too close to some decorative tea candles; he credited the senator with snuffing the flames. Toomey's office says that his wife, Kris, did most of the work.
