Regal Cinemas to show Trump v. Clinton Sunday

Regal Cinemas invites Americans to watch the second presidential debate Monday night at select theaters, including six in the Philadelphia area, in both Pennsylvania and South Jersey.

The first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald J. Trump last week had many elements of blockbuster cinema: a hero, a villain, dramatic tension, even (verbal) violence.

For the second bout Sunday night, Regal Entertainment Group is inviting Americans to watch the action live on the silver screen, at 206 select theater complexes across the country, including four in Philadelphia and its suburbs, and two in South Jersey.

The showings are free, and the company also will give you a free small soft drink with the purchase of any popcorn as a sweet reward for your civic engagement, and regardless of party affiliation.

"While our auditoriums feature the likes of Batman V. Superman or Alien vs. Predator, we are excited to offer voters a chance to watch Clinton vs. Trump as they go head to head," said Steve Bunnell, Regal's chief content and programming officer. "We invite you to come cheer and jeer the candidates at Regal this Sunday."

The debate will be available at UA Riverview Plaza Stadium 1400 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia; UA King Of Prussia Stadium, 300 Goddard Blvd.; Regal Oaks Stadium, 180 Mill Road; Regal Warrington Crossing Stadium, 140 Easton Road.

And also at the Regal Burlington Stadium, 250 Bromley Blvd., Burlington, N.J.; and Regal Hamilton Commons Stadium, 4215 E. Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing, N.J.

It is scheduled for broadcast at 9 p.m. eastern, from Washington University in St. Lous.
