"I still know some really good dirt about Obama, and I'm going to huddle with my advisors over the coming days to figure out how we can get this out there."
OK, I just made that up. But seriously, what is her motivation for not getting out at this point?

Simple. She took eight years of crap from the vast right wing comspiracy and untold amounts of garbage from Bill, then she had to cower for eight more years from George Bush. She DESERVES the Presidency, gosh darnit. It was supposed to be hers. What she doesn't get (nd never will) is that she was rejected. She had a twenty point lead as recently as December and squandered it. Wherever she went, her poll numbers went down. For all the crowing over her 9 point win in PA, she started that six week campaign with a twenty point lead. The only way she made any headway at all was to go Karl Rove on Obama. All the states she won, she started with a lead. I can't think of a single state where she upset anybody.
Last one didn't post, so I'll try again. She thinks she was entitled to the Presidency. After all those years of the vast right wing conspiracy, and the humiliations by Bill, doggonnit it was her turn. But she only has herself to blame, from her poor planning to her disorganized campaign, both signals that she would have been a bad President. I can't think of any state where she came from behind twin. In fact, everywhere she went, her numbers went down.
I'm taking my marbles and going home. Even if you won them fair and square.
Hillary said she had 17 million votes behind her, at $2 a piece that $34 million from Obama would pay off her campaign loans and debts. She doesn't want to come out of this owing anything since it never cost her anything to run for Senate.

I agree with atp2007. She needs some help with her debts --- probably more $$$ than what's been reported. The amount of kissing that Obama seems to have to do to that rear end of hers (when he's the winner), makes it paramount that he gets ANYONE in that VP slot than her. If not for nothing, one of the insider mottos of the Obama campaign is reported to be "Obama, no drama" (because of his even-keel personality & level-headedness). If he picks Hillary, that motto will go right out the window...
What's with all the commie-esque posters on the Dem. side? Now Hillary has one. She looks like Stalin without the moustache.
Obama has shown he can put together an organization that is quite adept at maximizing Dem delegates. Hillary will make the case that she would be better at pulling in swing voters needed to win swing states. I don't know if she has any dirt in reserve, but Obama has had about one blowup a month this year, so that means two could well happen between now and the convention.
After all, neither won the nomination through elected delegates. Superdelegates can swing back and forth. That is what she is banking on.
This is really simpler than everyone's making it out to be.. Hillary has for months been saying she won't quit, take it to the convention, etc. If she turned around and quit last night, that would not look good. She'll wait until the buzz dies down and then withdraw (likely Friday, to miss the news cycle). Note that Obama cannot pay off Hillary's campaign (or personal) debts. That is not a legal expenditure.
Politboro --- You are correct that Obama can not GIVE her money to cover her debts, but he can run mutual events where the money derived from those will go to satisfy her debts. Anyone who is going to give money to Obama in the next couple of months ought to carefully review how that money is received, or it may be going to Hillary.
Actually, most pledged delegates can also vote for whomever they want - not just the supers.
