Koch adds life...to the climate change debate

POSTED: Monday, July 30, 2012, 3:07 PM

This guy was supposed to be the Koch brothers' point man on combatting climate change. Read what he has to say now.

Why does the expresion "settle the scientific debate" from Muller sound so familiar?

===}}} Why does the expresion "settle the scientific debate" from Muller sound so familiar? {{{===

Because despite the fact that virtually no climate scientists have ever said it (go ahead, do some research, prove me wrong) - people who just repeat rightwing memes without doing any research have lied and claimed that climate scientists have said that the "science is settled."

Glad I could help you out there, Mr. Smith.

You're right dbag, it's the redistributionist Leftists who have hijacked the issue who say that.

I imagine that in some parallel universe, the comment made sense, Mr. Smith. But in the real world, you can go to virtually any rightwing blog discussion of the climate and read that climate scientists claim that the "science is settled."

Which is well in good - except that very, very few climate scientists, if any, have ever said that.

Sorry to disabuse you of that mistaken belief. No need to get angry about it.

It was your bloated hero who made that statement famous. Maybe people thought he was a scientist because he claimed to have invented the Internet.

Let's make that statement a bit more accurate, shall we? Despite your prior belief (like that of many rightwingers) that more than just a tiny handful (at best) of climate scientists have ever said that "the science is settled," you now realize that in fact that isn't true. They haven't said that. And people focus on Al Gore because they can't be bothered to discuss what climate scientists actually have to say.

So now you can go back to your discussions with fellow rightwingers and explain to them, as they often say that climate scientists make that claim, that they are ill-informed.

Nice work, Mr. Smith. At least you learned something today.

I've known for a long time that you are a dbag. Didn't learn it today.

Yeah. That's good, Mr. Smith. When confronted with facts and how you were wrong, call me a dbag. Twice. I imagine you find that quite rewarding.
