Lou Dobbs finally quits CNN. I wonder if he's headed for the F (as in "Fox") Troop.
I don't know if Dobbs is really that critical a figure in American history, despite the convulsions on the blogosphere and in the Twito-sphere and every other sphere. It would be great if CNN -- which needed to lose Dobbs to have even the slightest credibility in positioning itself as the "objective" news channel -- used that long-wasted hour for actual investigative reporting. The chances of that are slim and none.

If Fox does for Dobbs what it did for Beck, then it's bad news for the administration.
LOL. You are so f**king pathetic, Bunch. Seriously.
LOL. A bitter, bitter, little man you are, Bunch. We see your "commentary" for what it really is.....a stampy feet, hissy-fit fueled by your intense jealousy and hatred of all things NOT Bunch (read:successful/productive).
CNN is so far gone as an "objective" news station that Dobbs had nothing to with their lack of credibility. Dobbs is probably wise to leave that sinking ship.
CNN is never to be trusted. Go LOU, I agree, they are sinking.
At least now if I get CNN on my satellite radio at 7:00 (I would never watch in the evening), I have a chance of getting the news. Glad to see Dobbs gone.
At least they have Anderson Cooper. Heh. Partisan zeal of Glenn Beck, with the personality of a used bag of tea.
I can see Lou Dobbs now, sitting at the bar watching the local news proclaiming his leaving CNN and saying in a mexican accent; "CNN, what CNN, I don't need no stinkin CNN".
OT, but of interest?
Former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jon Runyan is considering a run for Congress against freshman Rep. John Adler (D-N.J.), according to a report.
According to a PolitickerNJ post, a GOP state lawmaker has attempted to convince Runyan to start a campaign that some believe would clear the field of candidates on the Republican side. The right tackle is not currently active on any team's roster but has not officially retired. He has not ruled out a run but it is unclear how serious he is considering the possibility.
A slew of New Jersey state lawmakers and other local figures are considering a run against Adler, a Blue Dog serving in a Republican leaning district. The southern New Jersey district is widely seen as a potential pickup for the Republicans in 2010.
Ocean County, which is in the district, produced a 70,000 vote plurality for governor-elect Chris Christie (R) in last week's gubernatorial elections.
Seems it's taps for Anita Dunn, too, Will. You recall Ms. Dunn, dont'cha Will? She was the ninny who professed her admiration for Mao. ( But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow). Seems she's being Van Jones'ed. Glenn Beck 2, Obama Administration 0.
Lou Dobbs and Fox, a match made in heaven. Immigrant bashing and tea partying on a grandiose scale; enough to make your average Republican Birther whackadoodle throw away his Viagra.
That's good bryanc. -snip- "The passing of the baton from Dunn to Pfeiffer had long been expected within White House circles as she had made clear when she took the job that the "interim" in her title was meant to be taken literally." -snip- Only in Beck World can the planned stepping down of an interim hire be seen as a "victory".
Congratulations, Lou.
LOL! --snip-- Dunn initially refused to move to the White House, saying she wanted to spend time with her family. But when the White House's first communications director, Ellen Moran, stepped down to take a job at the Commerce Department, Dunn came aboard on an interim basis.
"She's actually stayed longer that we could have imagined," Jarrett said.
Jarrett, one of Obama's closest friends at the White House, said the president had expected Dunn to scale back her role for a while. --snip-- But remember, didderbops - bryanc doesn't watch Beck, and he agrees that Beck is a lunatic, and he doesn't think that Beck speaks for many Republicans, and certainly Beck doesn't speak for him. BUT HE CONSIDERS IT A VICTORY FOR BECK WHEN SOMEONE BECK GOES AFTER RESIGNS AS PLANNED. How pathetic is that?
Has there been any news on which Attytood Democrat sharpshooter fired the shots at Dobbs' home recently? Another great moment for the party of tolerance and enlightenment. Hope. Change.
